Hey Hampton & Newport News:

Did you know that you don’t have to wait until Tuesday to vote?

You can vote In-Person Absentee until 5pm on Saturday!

How to vote In-Person Absentee:

  • For Hampton, go to the Voter Registrar’s office now through Saturday, May 16th between the hours of 9am-5pm. The office is located at  (1919 Commerce Dr. Suite 280, Hampton, VA 23666)  Be sure to take your photo ID and a black pen and wear a face covering.

 

  • For Newport News, on May 14th and May 15th between the hours of 8am-5pm, you can head to the Voter Registrar’s office at City Hall, 2400 Washington Ave, Newport News, VA 23607. Call when you arrive at 757-926-8683 and then they will come out to you with everything you need. On Saturday, May 16th between 9am-5pm, there will be a tent set up outside of City Hall where you can vote. You will need your photo ID.

 

  • If you don’t have photo ID you can request one at your Voter Registrar’s Office for free!

 

General Elections Info:

  • May 19th is the local election for Hampton and Newport News. If you live outside that area please check with the Department of Elections to see when your local elections are being held: https://bit.ly/DOElections
    • If you requested your absentee ballot for the May 19th election, it must be mailed back or returned to your local Voter Registrar’s office by 7pm on May 19th!

 

  • June 23rd is the Republican Primary Election for Hampton and Newport News. There are no Democratic Primaries in Hampton or Newport News.

 

  • November 3rd is the Presidential Election!
