Child Tax Credit: On July 15, eligible families will begin to receive monthly checks via the American Rescue Plan. To see if your family qualifies for the monthly checks or learn more about the program, click here: www.cbsnews.com/news/child-tax-credit-1800-dollars-opt-out-2021-06-23/ We will also have experts on hand at our Tuesday Town Hall to discuss the Child Tax Credit (CTC).

State Funding: Virginia is set to receive $7.3B in federal aid that can be used for one-time spending over the next three years. The General Assembly will meet on August 2, 2021 to begin deciding the ways the money will be spent. Localities and Institutions of Higher Learning are also receiving funding.
Advocacy: We’ll talk about how to advocate for your priorities as law makers are deciding the budget.
