The Panelists

Leah Aden, the Deputy Director of Litigation at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF), will be talking about the work LDF does in court cases around the country to protect #VotingRights. Read more about Aden and her work here: https://www.naacpldf.org/about-us/staff/leah-c-aden/

Tram Nguyen, the Co-Executive Director of New Virginia Majority (NVM), will discuss the new voting laws passed since 2020 and her work to fight against voter suppression in VA and across the country. In fact, she recently took a leave of absence to work alongside Stacey Abrams as Fair Fight’s Voter Protection Director for the Georgia runoffs! Del. Marcus Simon represents the 53rd District in the VA House of Delegates and is Chair of the House Privileges and Elections Committee. He is also a member of the Virginia Redistricting Commission and will give updates on and answer any questions about the #Redistricting Commission and help demystify the current map-drawing process.
