Keep reading for updated dropbox info! In Newport News, you may return your absentee ballot to the drop boxes located at City Hall or City Center. Currently, the City Center drop boxes are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 am-5 pm. However, from May 24th until June 5th, the City Center drop boxes will be available for you to drop your ballot off or vote inside the Sattelite Office Monday-Friday from 8-5 and Saturday’s from 9-5. The City Hall drop box is located on the 6th floor of City Hall and is available Monday – Friday from 8-5. On election day, there will be drop boxes at every precinct location. You can drop your completed ballot off at a drop box located at ANY precinct in Newport News, regardless of your specific polling place.

You may hand-deliver your ballot to the Voter Registrar’s Office located at Suite 280 of 1919 Commerce Drive in Hampton. You can drop off your completed ballot Monday-Friday from 8:30 to 5, as well as the last two Saturdays before Election Day: May 29 and June 5 from 9 to 5. Additionally, on election day, there will be drop boxes for every precinct location.
