Should a county, city or town be authorized to provide a partial tax exemption for real property that is subject to recurrent flooding, if resiliency improvements have been made on the property?

Ballot Question #2

Shall the real property tax exemption for a primary residence that is currently provided to the surviving spouses of veterans who had a one hundred percent service-connected, permanent, and total disability be amended to allow the surviving spouse to move to a different primary residence and still claim the exemption?

A proposed constitutional amendment is a suggested change or modification to the Virginia State Constitution.  If voted on and approved by the majority of voters across the state, the state constitution would be modified to include these changes.

  1. Do you any information of college student living overseas for the semester voting by email. The office has sent an email but I checked the voter record and the ballot has not been logged in yet?

      • Thank you for checking. I did check also. I have contact the voter office. She must send (overnight) the printed ballot (4 pages) to the Hampton office by Monday. I hope she is willing to do that. The Hampton office has been very good in assisting me and my daughter through the overseas process.
